The international e-Government event of the year returns with a new interactive and engaging workshop component. Themed “e-Government: The Next Quantum Leap”, the iGov Global Forum will bring together international e-Government experts and practitioners, including Government CIOs, business leaders, and senior public sector officials. It will facilitate mutual learning and sharing, providing participants with valuable insights on how governments can tackle e-Government issues and opportunities, and encourage collaboration among an international audience. The event includes Site Visits to view Singapore’s e-Government initiatives, a unique feature among e-Government events.
2010 Waseda University World e-Government Ranking
Singapore has topped the 2010 Waseda University World e-Government Ranking, the second time in a row. This is the sixth year that the Waseda University Institute of e-Government has been monitoring the development of e-Government worldwide. The research focuses on analysing the development of mainly 7 major indicators in the public sector, as well as the relationship between governments and their stakeholders. The study noted trends such as the increased use of Government 2.0, the special attention governments gave to Green ICT issues, and an increasing interest in Cloud computing and vistualisation.

Infocomm Singapore Solutions head for Middle East's Largest ICT Tradeshow
The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore will be leading a delegation of nine infocomm companies to Dubai this weekend to participate in the largest ICT tradeshow in the Middle East. GITEX Technology Week 2009 will take place from 18 to 22 October 2009. Exhibiting under the Infocomm Singapore banner, these companies will showcase infocomm products and solutions relating to ICT infrastructure and security, as well as award-winning e-Government solutions such as the Online Business Licensing System.
