Infocomm Singapore Solutions head for Middle East's Largest ICT Tradeshow

The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore will be leading a delegation of nine infocomm companies to Dubai this weekend to participate in the largest ICT tradeshow in the Middle East. GITEX Technology Week 2009 will take place from 18 to 22 October 2009. Exhibiting under the Infocomm Singapore banner, these companies will showcase infocomm products and solutions relating to ICT infrastructure and security, as well as award-winning e-Government solutions such as the Online Business Licensing System.


Public Officers get to Enjoy SOEasy Services

The Singapore Government’s vision of a consolidated and harmonised infocomm work environment for public officers takes another step towards fruition as the Standard ICT Operating Environment (SOEasy) – the largest Singapore Government infocomm project in scope and scale – has started rolling out services to the first batch of agencies.


World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Report 2009-2010

The WEF GCR 2009-2010 assesses the overall competitiveness of 133 economies and their respective development stages, based on the Global Competitiveness Index (GCI). The GCI analyses the economies based on 12 inter-related competitiveness pillars of institutions, infrastructure, macroeconomic stability, health and primary education, higher education and training, goods market efficiency, labour market efficiency, financial market sophistication, technological readiness, market size, business sophistication and innovation. Singapore was ranked overall 3rd in the report, with Switzerland and the United States leading.


The international e-Government conference of the year, iGov Global Exchange is an open platform that brought together policy makers, implementers and developers to share experiences and best practices on the future e-Government model worldwide. It also highlighted successful projects in building e-Government infrastructure and applications to better serve the needs of customers in the digital age. The theme for this event was “Integrating Public Services, Engaging Citizens” .
